My brother used to be as left as they come. He had a trans flag Bernie Sanders bumper sticker on his truck. About a year ago he told me he had begun reading gender critical theory and believed it had merit. Now, a year later, he says that if it came down to a vote between Biden and Trump, he would probably vote for Trump.
He is neck-deep in right-wing conspiracy theories and hateful propaganda. It’s actually fucking destroying me and try as I might I cannot convince him even for a second that he might be wrong.
Ok so on the Loki Sylvie kiss. I just need to say this. The director compared them to two teenagers who’ve never been in a relationship before. What I love about the kiss is that there lips don’t part. It’s not gross or overly passionate. There’s no grabbing each other’s faces or gripping touches. It’s a dramatic peck. It’s gentle.
It’s awkward too. I love how their noses squish awkwardly like they didn’t know where they go. Like how a real out of no where, sudden kiss would be. They clearly both haven’t done this much, if at all and it just makes it sweeter.
But it’s still dramatic. Like they turn and try to deepen the kiss before pulling away. It’s just so in character.
We see so many teenagers treat there first relationship like how adults treat serious relationships in movies. It’s nice to see two adults act like teenagers who have just fallen in love for the first time.
